BUILDING & INTERIORS

History

Set in a gorgeous, bow-fronted townhouse, the Williams & Rice salon sits on Chelsea’s elegant Smith Street and basks in sunlight all year round. The street was built between 1794 and 1807 by Thomas Smith, who was originally a wine trader but who thought speculative building might be a more lucrative trade. Behind the west side of the street was once Little’s Botanic Nursery, created after the popularity of the Chelsea Physic Garden.

The salon is conveniently located "close to the Kings Road" and its abundance of wonderful shops, restaurants and bars including out next door neighbours at the award-winning The Phoenix pub.
